School Cleaner

About the role

The School Cleaner ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across all classrooms and facilities at EtonHouse Bhutan International School. This role supports a welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep and mop classrooms, hallways and common areas daily, completing the first clean before 8:30 am.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas and rugs each day.
• Clean the main school entrance at least twice daily.
• Wipe and disinfect shelves, tables and desks, with special focus on Early Years classrooms.
• Wash student and staff toilets daily and empty bathroom waste bins.
• Clean glass surfaces, windows and walls immediately when soiled.
• Sanitize high‑touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, toilet flushes and taps.
• Empty indoor dustbins daily and transport waste to the main disposal bins.
• Prepare classrooms and shared learning spaces for the next session.
• Perform ad‑hoc environmental and cleanliness duties as assigned by the Principal.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of commercial or professional cleaning experience.
• Prior experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
