Facilities & Infrastructure Maintenance Technician

About the role

Bitdeer Technologies Group, a Bitcoin mining technology company headquartered in Singapore, is hiring a full-time Facilities & Infrastructure Maintenance technician for a mining operation. The role covers daily maintenance, breakdown repair and replacement of electromechanical equipment and cooling systems, with long-term on-site residency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and replace circulating water pumps, spray pumps, motors, cooling fans and pipeline networks, and troubleshoot faults such as abnormal noise, vibration, leaks, overheating motors and worn belts
• Follow the equipment maintenance plan, keep maintenance ledgers and reduce equipment failures
• Inspect cooling towers, water tanks and circulating water systems, control water quality, chemical dosing and water consumption, and check pipes, flanges, gaskets and supports
• Respond quickly to sudden faults such as pump overload, fan shutdown, pipe rupture and pressure drops
• Handle auxiliary equipment, anti-corrosion and anti-seepage works, minor renovations, site drainage and hidden danger inspections
• Drive a motor vehicle and operate a forklift, including loading, unloading and daily checks

Required profile

• Age 25-40, education in mechanical/electrical engineering, refrigeration, water supply and drainage or equipment maintenance preferred
• Experience in data centers, mining sites, industrial parks or public utilities; water quality control and cooling tower experience preferred
• Shift and night shift work, including emergency repairs, and ability to read English technical documents
• Must accept long-term on-site residency

Required skills

• Forklift operation and motor vehicle driving
• Understanding of pumps, motors, fans, pipelines, valves, bearings and seals
• Basic record-keeping and data statistics
